Permitting Process
 Obtaining all the permits for your new home will take approximately 45 days.
Our Pre-construction Specialists will work with all the necessary county officials, engineers, architects and surveyors to
obtain all needed permits.
 Custom Design Center
Additional Things to Consider and Upgrades
 Consider your overall furniture arrangement. Determine the locations of
televisions, telephones, computers, sound system, security cameras, home theater, intercoms and central vacuum outlets. This is
also when you will select your up-grades like exterior stone or brick, solid surface countertops, additional crown molding,
appliance up-grade or a 3 car garage.
 Preconstruction Kickoff Meeting
 To ensure your total satisfaction and timeliness of the construction you
will be introduced to the GeneLee Build Team. At this important meeting all of your home and building questions will be discussed
and clarified.
 Pre-Drywall Meeting
 The GeneLee Build Team will walk you through the frame stage of your home
about 45-60 days following the Pre-Construction meeting. Together, we will discuss structural wiring, electrical placement,
insulation, grading, driveway, the home warranty and any other questions that you may have.
Preparing for the Closing
 The GeneLee Closing Coordinator will contact you 30-45 days prior to
closing. We will discuss final sales price, contracts, mortgage holder, insurance, and schedule a walk through and closing dates.
You will be given a list of contact names and telephone numbers, local utility providers a map of the closing location and a
checklist to help prepare for the closing.
